WindSafe

WindSafe® is DMT’s machine diagnostic system specially designed for use in wind power plants. The system is built up on the experience gained from the DMT-ZUMWART online system and uses for the core functions the modern components of our new XSafe technology. The hardware and software is specially adapted to the requirements of wind power plants.

The newly developed local acquisition centre of type DAU is important here. This instrument measures simultaneously (no multiplexing) up to 8 channels with a sampling rate of 25.6 kHz and a dynamic range of 138 dB. It is equipped with an Ethernet interface and can be easily integrated into existing equipment.

For communicating within a wind park it is possible to use not only fibre optic cables but also dual conductor copper wires, such as telephone cables.

WindSafe was the first system to be approved in accordance with the requirements of the Allianz insurance company and is generally recognised by all large German insurance companies. It is in operation in various wind power plants in Germany and India.
