Ropes, Haulage Equipment and other Mechanical Components in Shaft Hoisting Installations

We test and assess all safety relevant mechanical components on which people’s lives depend, such as:

    • Hoisting ropes and counterbalancing ropes
    • Guide ropes and platform ropes
    • Head gear and sinking head gear
    • Hoisting cages and skips
    • Suspension gear
    • Headwheels and drive wheels
    • Wheel and pulley shafts
    • Brake rigging

In our work we use high performance, non-destructive testing techniques.

An important in-house development for testing wire ropes for broken strands, corrosion and wear is our magneto inductive wire rope testing technique, an effective combination of measuring the flux leakage and cross-section. By carrying out destructive testing on new and discarded wire ropes in our own testing facilities, we consolidate and update our wire rope know-how.
