Driving Headings & Coal Extraction

Extraction involves all the steps of underground coal production. This begins with the driving of advance headings, includes extraction methods using ploughs and cutter drums and also the transport of the coal by chain conveyors from the coal face and belt conveyors along the roadways.

Based on our many years of experience in longwall mining we support mine operators in selecting the best possible method from a technical and economic point of view and contribute to optimising current operations.

Our focus is on underground measurements as well as on simulations and calculations for designing water sprays on heading and coal-cutting machines for reducing dust and preventing gas-dust ignition.
