    Groundwater Monitoring

Planning and operating facilities that impact groundwater generally require a system to monitor groundwater quantity and quality. Our aim is to match the scope of such monitoring with prevailing needs and, of course, to satisfy any requirements for approval.

Before investing in measurement equipment we thoroughly investigate the prevailing situation and identify any monitoring options that already exist. We set up monitoring systems in close coordination with overall planning and in cooperation with the technical specialists involved.

We plan, set up and provide service support for monitoring systems for

    • Water management construction projects, groundwater extraction, groundwater remediation measures and groundwater protection measures
    • Projects governed by environmental compatibility regulations, e.g. in building waste dumps, in the natural resources industry and in the manufacturing industry
    • Monitoring purposes and documentation of evidence

We have the appropriate equipment for measuring and taking specimens in unsaturated soil zones as well as in areas saturated with groundwater. In fact, we have played a major role in developing practicable measuring probes and data transmission systems in the HYDRA series. If necessary, we can set up direct data transmission by means of mobile radio and the File Transfer Protocol (FTP).

    Our standard services include:

    • Planning for networks of measurement points, technical management for their construction and/or carrying out construction
    • Carrying out and assessing measurements
    • Preparing documentation of findings and monitoring reports
    • Evaluation of the migration of pollutants and the effectiveness of natural attenuation
    • Verification of monitoring to ensure that it is complete and adequate
