It is generally necessary to explore and assess more than 20 deposits before identifying and developing just one mineral deposit suitable for profitable recovery. We carry out regional geological mapping aimed at discovering signs indicating that minerals are present. Then by applying special local mapping techniques we investigate these indicators with regard to the deposit’s prospectivity.

• Initial assessment of induced anomalies

From an economic standpoint, it is of great importance that available prospecting capabilities be focussed, as quickly as possible, on potentially viable areas. DMT has successfully carried out projects with this objective in a number of countries.
