Test Dust

DMT test dust type 8^®

This synthetic vacuum cleaner test dust, which is referred to in the standard DIN IEC 60312, can be used for determining the loss of suction performance when filling a vacuum cleaner bag. This dust is equivalent in composition to real house dust.

As opposed to contaminated house dust, the test dust is free from pollen, fungi, bacteria and toxic substances. The physical behaviour, such as dust cake build-up in the vacuum cleaner bag or the tendency to block up parts of the cleaner, is reproduced by our test dust.

Dolomite

Vacuum cleaner test dust for testing how well dust is absorbed by various floor coverings, such as carpets and parquet, and by different textiles, such as upholstered furniture, wall hangings and so on (testing for instance in accordance with DIN IEC 60312). This quartz-free material has a standardised grain size distribution.

Slate powder

Slate powder is used to determine the dust emission from vacuum cleaners in accordance with DIN IEC 60312. Furthermore this dust is used for testing (determination of degree of dust interception) air filters, e.g. in vehicles, in air cleaners and in the air conditioning of vehicle cabins (e.g. waste dump vehicles) (ISO 12103, DIN ISO 5011 and others). This quartzose material has a standardised grain size distribution.
